Tara’s Tip: List it!
Hello out there!
YesterdayThursday was my sweet Anthony’s 7th birthday!! So my Thursday tip is going to be a Friday Saturday tip this week. (yes, it has taken me two days to write this!!)
So, this is something I do to help me get organized and motivated. I make lists. This is particularly helpful when I am overwhelmed with having way too much to do.
I list everything that needs to get done, EVERYTHING! (clean kitchen, pay bills, workout, shower, etc). I also break it down to smaller tasks. Instead of “vacuum”, I write “vacuum first, second and third floors”.
By breaking it down into smaller pieces, I get to do more of my favorite thing… Crossing items off the list!! It’s so satisfying to grab a sharpie and slash through that task. I’ll even add things onto the list that I have already completed that day just to be able to cross them off!
Another side benefit of the list… It lets everyone else in the house know what needs to be done. This may, potentially, on occasion, lead to other members of the household completing some of these tasks! (insert heralding trumpets here).
So if you have a lot to do today, but don’t know where to begin, go make a list!
