The Road Less Travelled
I grew up in a house with a fabulous wooded yard. There were giant rocks, hills for sledding (including one with a jump my brother and I named “Butt Breaker Hill”) and even a pond. It was awesome. To this day I love to walk in the woods, especially near a stream or lake. It’s very peaceful to me.
However I learned something today. I’m going to share it with you.
If you are directionally and geographically challenged, like I am, do not try to take a short cut through the woods during your run. At best you will end up doubling your time and distance. (At worst, you could end up missing on the nightly news.) I can tell you that no matter what good intentions you have, a “path” into the woods will not shave 20 minutes off of your trip back home. 🙂
