Hey there everyone!
So, I’m stuck. Completely in a rut, battling the fridge, battling the scale, it’s a full force food fight, and not the fun, chucking mashed potatoes across the cafeteria kind. It’s me vs. everything I WANT to eat. And I’m not winning.
I tried jumping on the meal shake bandwagon with some of my family members who have been having success with that. Yeah, all that does is get me through breakfast, then at about 2 pm I eat everything in the house that isn’t nailed down (after covering it with hot sauce).
Now, I will give myself a small break (aka justification of bad behavior) because it’s been an insane week, Jack had surgery to have tubes put into his ears Mon, I had a board meeting for my neighborhood, we’ve got baseball (I’m team mom) and room mom stuff for school picking up, so I just haven’t spent the time to plan and prep meals/snacks, which leads to DISASTER. Of course, honestly, that’s all just excuses.
I just can’t seem to get myself into the routine of eating like I should, and I don’t know if it’s just laziness, or a mental block, or ….?!?
A few weeks ago I had the following revelation. I don’t clean the floor, then immediately smear mud all over it, so why do I do a really tough workout then eat pizza?!?!
Does anyone out there have any suggestions or answers? I am really struggling!! Please share your ideas, tales of woe, yell at me to suck it up and eat a salad, etc. I need to hear it all!
